Are you swimming against the tide?

The world is going through a mighty change. One that can look economically perilous and maybe even impossible, however, it is going through a change whether you like it or not. The tide has changed and if you are swimming against the current you will be tired, angry and frustrated. If you are resisting the changes then please know that you will be so far behind that catching up may be a daunting task.

 Here are some simple economic solutions to help you thrive in the coming year

1) Start an online business: I know I say this a lot however, it is top of the list. You must learn to have an online business. It is the most important thing you can do. In this economy more jobs have been lost to innovations than to outsourcing. Even more jobs will be lost to innovations over the years than to outsourcing. Innovations of the future allow factories, stores and services to run without or with very little human help. That means as technology advances more jobs will be deleted from the system.

Having an online business as a backup is inexpensive to start and maintain as well as fun. You can work part time and begin right away until you can quit your day job and become secure in your ability to produce income.

2) Learn the NEW leadership skill sets: Learning the new leadership skills is very important. Some people are still using leadership skills that were popular during the industrial age. A self-leadership focus is very important right now as the world is turning into a self-serve society and you must be able to serve yourself or you will have nothing. The days of hand holding are long gone. Many people have become like lambs in the world and are dependent on the herding dog to get them where they need to be. This is not about becoming aggressive, it is about taking action and pursuing your dreams and making them a reality. New leadership skills are important to learn especially around making money.

• The asset based society is gone and will be for a long time.
• Jobs are diminishing and will continue to do so. You must become a  business owner.

3) Manage your mindset: This is a time to become aware of yourself. What you focus on grows. That is a simple fact. If you want success, your focus and actions must consistently take steps towards that vision of what success looks like for you. Now the key is, things have changed and you may want to use the same plans or map that you created the first time. It may frustrate you, but rethink and rewrite your plan and continue your journey.

Focus on the outcomes and solutions you may want to use to move you forward and break through your frustration or anger at not having the old plan. If say, your old plan was this job you lost, you must create a plan based on what’s here now, even if that means a course correction may take another 6 months, 8 months, a year or two years. Stopping completely is not an option.

With these simple solutions added to your economic life you will free yourself in a way that will bring you such excellent results. This will heal a part of your soul and help you have stronger self-esteem, more money and a confidence that is unmatched.
